Meet Coby Carner

For Coby, sports have always been a passion from birth, with his name inspired by Kobe Bryant. Born and raised in Las Vegas, he developed a deep love for the same L.A.-based teams his father grew up cheering for—the Dodgers and Lakers. While he’s always loved all kinds of sports, Coby primarily played on the baseball diamond throughout his childhood.

Coby is a proud Rebel, earning both his undergraduate degree in Marketing (2022) and his master’s in Sport Management (2023) from UNLV. During that time, he gained valuable experience as a marketing intern for the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee, helping promote the first Super Bowl to be played in his hometown.

Today, as Director of Marketing for Nevada Youth Sports, Coby enjoys combining his marketing background with his lifelong love of sports to create engaging experiences for players and families. He’s passionate about giving young athletes the same positive sports experiences that shaped his own childhood.

Outside of NYS, Coby continues his passion for sports in many ways—watching games with his dad, playing softball with friends, diving into baseball statistics, or unwinding with a game of MLB The Show or College Football.
