With the 28th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Brooklyn Nets select Joshua Jefferson, Forward, Iowa State! A Las Vegas native, Jefferson grew up playing with NYS before becoming a standout star at Liberty High School, leading the Patriots to a state championship. He committed to Saint Mary's where he played for two seasons before transferring to Iowa State. He played another two seasons for the Cyclones, leading them to a top three seed each year in the NCAA Tournament. This past season, Joshua was named a consensus second-team All-American and first-team All-Big 12. Congratulations to Joshua Jefferson on becoming the first NYS alum ever drafted into the NBA. Your journey continues to inspire the next generation and we could not be more proud of you!
