Tackle Football program

Our NYS Tackle Football Divisions includes standings, scores, weekly updates, and a full playoff system with awards. Rules are established to help players prepare for high school football.

*Tackle Football is a fully competitive sport.  This means that play time is at the discretion of the coaches and is not guaranteed.  We do work to place newer or less experienced players onto teams where more opportunities can be earned.

**Teams for the Fall Tackle Football Program start practicing no later than 7/23.  Any players starting after that late will be placed on a team as close to home as possible, but will have missed practices and may not be on a team close to home.  Questions? Email ben@nysnevada.com or gabe@nysnevada.com and we can try and see what will be available at that moment.

Tackle Football information

What equipment is required?

Players must have a standard helmet and facemask, seven-piece pant pad set, football pants covering pant pads, rubber cleats or tennis shoes, shoulder pads, team jersey, and a mouthpiece.

Note: These items are not included in registration fees and must be purchased by parents/guardians.

Certification is handled through National Sports ID. Players will be invited to certify via their team roster by team managers. Every child must submit:

  • Birth certificate

  • Report card

  • Close-up headshot

Games are held at various high schools and public parks throughout the valley.

Please note that all tackle football teams will have what most will call a team fee.  These fees will include such items as uniform, helmet decals, and possibly more.  We encourage each parent to ask what these team fees cover as our teams are required to show that all funds that are asked for and collected are accounted for properly & used for those specific items for each player on the team.

NYS has a strict No Refund policy. In the case of needing to cancel your registration, monies will be assigned as a credit on your account. Account credits never expire and are transferable
